In June 2007 Paris spent 23 days in Century Regional Detention Facility for violating probation in a drunk-driving case. She was locked in an 8' x12' cell containing a metal bunk bed, toilet and desk for 23 hours a day. She said, "I wasn't sleeping, I wasn't eating. I was having severe panic attacks. I hate to be alone. I had nightmares of someone breaking into my cell. I was very scared."
