Paul’s family moved to 20 Forthlin Road in Allerton, Liverpool in 1956, when he was 13 years old. He attended the Liverpool Institute, a local grammar school, and met George Harrison on the bus ride to school.

The terraced house his now maintained by the National Trust, which organises tours around the property.

The Beatles composed and rehearsed some of their earliest songs here, and it is now considered to be one of the most important houses in the history of popular music.
