How partying can ruin your looks

Have too many parties taken their toll on your looks? If so, you're not alone; many a celebrity has seen their looks ravaged by the effects of hardcore partying.

Take a look at the celebrities who have seen alcohol ravage their looks and enjoy the realization that a couple of drunken nights out aren't all that bad!

- What a break from the booze can do

You skin is dry
Alcohol has a dehydrating effect on your entire body and your skin is the place where it shows up the most. That craggy old skin that Kate Moss has developed? It's a sure fire sign that her wild partying is catching up with her. Spend evenings slathered in moisturizer and drink plenty of water each day and you'll be dewy with radiance in no time!

You have blotchy skin
Blotchy red skin is another sign that your body has had enough of alcohol. As your body absorbs booze, your blood vessels get dilated which can cause redness where your skin is the finest – red eyes after a night out anyone?

Your hair and nails are dull and lifeless
The amount of drinking we all do over the festive period will hinder your body absorbing the vitamins and nutrients it needs to look lustrous. As a result, your hair and nails will look dry and brittle. To help your body get back to its best, eat foods enriched with vitamin A such as oranges, spinach and sweet potatoes and drink milk for vitamin D.

You put on weight
By now we all know how many calories are in a beer or a margarita (150 in a beer, 450 in a margarita), but it's that chicken burger on the way home that will have you piling on the pounds. Also, how many of us decide not to go to the gym because of a hangover?
