Sibling rivalry

If you have more than one child then you probably know that sibling rivalry is hard to deal with. It often starts as soon as your second baby arrives, and if you have more than one child – at the last count, Brangelina have six – then it can feel like you’re more of a peacemaker than a parent.

In the Jolie-Pitt household it seems that Maddox, seven, likes to show Pax, five, who’s boss. Meanwhile, Zahara, three, has been known to push and shove Shiloh, two. And it won’t be long until five-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne are big enough to join in. So how do you cope if your kids are at war?

We asked Dr Claire Halsey, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Parenting Expert, for some tips on how to keep the peace.
